The pattern in my work is consistent: I take over systems that are already live, already load-bearing, and already unreliable — then make them boring. That has meant eliminating recurring crash patterns under real concurrency, removing double-booking from a live routing engine, and closing a wide surface of pre-existing security gaps without pausing the business.

Alongside stabilization, I build the automation that replaces manual labor. Carrier verification workflows that consumed staff hours daily now run as API-driven, parallelized processes. Reporting that operators used to assemble by hand is now a dashboard with drill-down metrics, call playback, and role-scoped visibility.

I also came into this work from the operational side — running structured qualification interviews in health insurance before engineering the telephony and billing platforms that same industry runs on. I know what the person on the phone needs from the software, because I was that person.

I served in the United States Air Force and was awarded the Air and Space Achievement Medal for rapid response during a medical emergency — taking control of the situation, coordinating emergency response, and maintaining monitoring until medical professionals took over. That is the same disposition I bring to a production incident.
